Publish Time:2020-07-28

AltoBeam is proud to announce that it is an official member of Renesas Electronics’ comprehensive Renesas Advanced (RA) 32-bit microcontroller (MCU) partner ecosystem. Renesas Electronics Corporation is a premier supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions. AltoBeam is Renesas’ key Wi-Fi chip partner in China that provides IoT customers with a high-speed Wi-Fi cloud connectivity solution. As part of the RA ecosystem, AltoBeam will offer ready-to-use building block Wi-Fi solutions to support the Renesas RA Family of MCUs.

AltoBeam’s ATBM6031 highly integrated 802.11b/g/n WLAN SoC with SDIO interface (SDIO2.0 compliant) has been successfully ported onto the RA MCU platform. The ready-to-use solution enables easy cloud connectivity for IoT edge devices. With the scalability and compatibility of the RA product family, customers can build a series of IoT products with more secure, lower cost and shorter development cycle solution based on Amazon FreeRTOS, ThreadX, and Ali Cloud OS.
ATBM6031 integrates 1T1R Wi-Fi baseband, 2.4GHz RF front-end circuit, and supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocol. ATBM6031 is housed with 4mm*4mm, QFN 28pin package, and supports all data rates of IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocol, and 20MHz and 40MHz channel bandwidth. The ATBM6031 chip has been widely used in TVs, wireless cameras, and smart home applications, and has become the mainstream product of the single antenna Wi-Fi chip.

The ARM® Cortex®-M-based Renesas RA Family is PSA Certified™ Level 1. The Renesas RA Partner Ecosystem provides a series of out-of-the-box-software and hardware components to help accelerate the development of IoT applications, including core technologies such as security, reliability and connectivity.
