AltoBeam Begins Mass Production of Ultra-Low-Power Wi-Fi 6 Chip ATBM6461

Building on the market success of its debut ultra-low-power Wi-Fi chip ATBM6441, AltoBeam has recently released ATBM6461, a new-generation self-developed low-power Wi-Fi 6 chip with full proprietary intellectual property rights. The component has obtained the latest Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6 certification issued by Wi-Fi Alliance. Since its launch, ATBM6461 has won leading security manufacturers in the industry, and battery-based security products equipped with ATBM6461 are shipped to the North American market soon.

For applications of battery-powered terminal products, ATBM6461 is engineered with a strong focus on optimizing chip power consumption and further extends battery life by supporting the TWT function defined in the Wi-Fi 6 standard.

Compliant with MCS0 to MCS11 modulation modes under Wi-Fi 6 standard, ATBM6461 supports up to 1024QAM modulation/demodulation at the PHY layer with a Max. PHY rate of 287Mbps. Meanwhile, the chip also significantly improves RF performance to enable higher data transmission over longer distance.

ATBM6461 fully supports advanced Wi-Fi 6 technologies including LDPC coding/decoding, Beamforming, Extended Range Single User (ER-SU) frame structure and Dual Carrier Modulation (DCM). These enhancements greatly boost receiving sensitivity and transceiver performance under complicated network conditions, alongside substantial expansion of wireless signal coverage.
